Default New guy from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania

Hi, I have been playing guitar for many years. I do play electric mostly but I played only acoustic when I played the coffee house circuit in the 70s. Not I play a Sea Gull S6 and a 1969 Yamaha 12 string FG 230 made in Japan. I had to make it playable. Remove this bridge hump, reset the neck and a new bone nut and saddle. I look forward to reading about your guitar stories and all. This is a pic of my red tag 12 string.

Hi Kevin. I'm new too. I also play a Seagull S6. Thinking seriously about a 12-string as a sometimes-guitar. Interesting that you also play one. Would like to hear more about the issues you had with it. Thinking about either an Epiphone DR212 or a Seagull Coastline S12. Don't want to spend too much on a guitar I won't play a lot. I'm not a professional.

I love those Yamaha Red Label Nippon Gakki Guitars. The ones made in Japan. Not the ones made in Korea. I've restored my FG-140, and now working on my FG-180. The 180 needed a neck reset, so I completely stripped it down to bare wood.
At the same time I'm doing the same to a Harmony Sovereign H1250. I almost enjoy restoring them more than playing them.
